<p>The persons who loved space &amp; astronomy always take interest in telescopes. To improve their knowledge we want to tell them that the world’s king size single aperture radio telescope is installed in a big observatory situated in Puerto Rico. The diameter of the telescope is 1,000 feet, while the total area is 790,000 square feet.</p>
<p>Now China is trying to break this record with a big margin. Their scientists intended to build a special radio telescope having five hundred meter aperture. The location of this telescope will be the province of Guizhou, situated in southern China. By this gigantic radio telescope you will be able to observe the space three times farther than the previous one. Its scanning will be ten times faster. Construction of this telescope will be started in this year and will be completed after five years.</p>
<p><strong>Hypersonic Aircraft Is In Development:</strong></p>
<p>Defense Advance Research Project Agency is developing hypersonic aircraft with the help of U.S Government. U.S Government will provide funds in this project.</p>
<p>This aircraft named Falcon HTV will be the supreme aircraft in the world. The speed of this aircraft will be at top most level and they will be able to reach at any point within an hour. They will take a circle around the earth two hours. They will fly at a fantastic speed of 16,700 miles/ hour that is more than 22 times the speed of sound.</p>
<p>This aircraft becomes red hot when fly at its top speed. The friction with air and atmospheric temperature makes it enormously hot.</p>
<p>When this aircraft flew on its first trial flight in April 2010, crashed and fell on earth after nine minutes of its start. Due to this accident the agency developed HTV-2 with modifications. This developed aircraft when flew for its trial flight, faced the same tragedy. It fell in Pacific after eight minutes of its start.</p>
<p>Engineer think for the next time, surely they will develop this aircraft and may fly it at hypersonic speed. Hence it will be a new success in this modern era.</p>
<p><strong>Butanol Could Be Used As Bio-Fuel:</strong></p>
<p>For a long time scientists are in search of a bacteria that could convert cellulose to butanol, because butanol can be used as a bio-fuel to energized a car engine. Cellulose is a raw material which can be achieve from wood, leaves, cotton and many plant materials. Due to the tremendous rise in fuel price made the minds of scientists to find out another neat &amp; clean energy, in this way they discovered cellulose. The importance of cellulose has been described in the above lines.</p>
<p>Now the scientists have discovered that bio-fuel producing bacteria can convert cellulose, for example that found in old newspapers, into butanol. Butanol has a fine characteristic that it can be used directly without any change and you are no need to make any modification in engine.</p>
<p>This fuel will be economical in price. The use of this fuel will be beneficial, because it didn’t produce smog. Surely the environment will not have any problem with the fuel.</p>

<p>You will be able to know that a newly watercraft is introduced, which is portable and is running nowadays across the rivers &amp; lakes having a speed of 25 mph and weighs 600 pounds.</p>
<p>When a boy Jason Woods was 19 years old living on his own, decided to buy an old ski boat. In his boat he drives the girls across the lake, near to his home in California. After few months he estimated that to drive a 16 foot boat is an expensive job. He was thinking about a boat that may carry in his car, but that dream didn’t come true. He was getting education at Napa’s New Technology High School and has a deep relationship with science and technology. In the meanwhile he get an idea that the carbon-fiber body board with a small engine power will have a tremendous speed. Its weight will be of 35 pounds only, so the persons who like adventure could carry it easily to the riverside.</p>
<p>It was Wood’s problem to find light weight parts. He search on different websites and discovered Germans are building 8 foot long &amp; 20 hp mini yachts in these days. He also found that some companies are producing components for them. He purchased a small jet pump from a company in $500.</p>
<p>When he got the components he mounted the jet pump, and duct-taped the housing together. It took a jerk gave ugly voices, but it moved, and in this way Woods was able to build a new edition every year. His 4th edition put out 5 hp and run up to 15 mph. It also integrated with carbon fiber and handlebars.</p>
<p>Now the next model is under construction. A hybrid electric-propane four-stroke engine will be used in it and the boat will get the speed up to 25 mph.</p>
<p>Woods estimated that on mass production basis the latest edition may be selling at $1,000.</p>
<p>Portable watercraft is a two-stroke gas engine drives a lightweight, high-powered jet pump, which throw out and creates a push, which deviate a little amount of water to cool down the engine.</p>
<p><strong>The Body Guard:</strong></p>
<p>The body guard is nothing but a crime-fighting armored glove invented by a cameraman, David Brown. It consists of a video camera &amp; a stun gun to keep the outlaws away. Surely it can be said that Body Guard promise to save you life in odd situations. It runs on the high voltage stunner, a video camera, a laser pointer &amp; flashlight. When you face any violation it protects you.</p>
<p>Brown think over it if a lion or any beast attacks on you suddenly, you have nothing to do. There should be a weapon which should work as your body guard. He wants to invent something.</p>
<p>As he worked over his idea, he came to know that his real market will be police force &amp; military departments. He made a perfect glove in 48 hours from a medical arm pair, a stun gun and a fire-alarm button</p>
<p>After 7 years Brown became successful to complete his project. It looks and sounds horrible when electric current runs between its electrodes, which    push back an attacker. As a last, it may be used to protect you.</p>
<p>This glove weighs only three pounds and is kept in a hard shell that extends across the forearm. A pull pin prepared the stunner and a button at the palm which activates it. Same buttons put in motion the laser pointer, video camera and flashlight.</p>
<p>The Body Guard will be demonstrated at the U.S. Department of Justice’s very soon.</p>

<p>Undoubtedly batteries are playing important &amp; vital role in our life. However these devices also create a lot of problems when they run. For example the make trouble when we try to charge them, they stop working with any minor reason. When work for a more period they overheat. Leaking badly and sometime explodes, causing danger for human life. They are large and inflexible. So what is the solution? To make them thin, small in size and powered them with ease. If we use blood or sweat to energize them then it will be very much to handle them. Surely it will be advancement in technology also.</p>
<p>Some scientists who are working in a polytechnic institute said that they have created a blood charging battery. The battery has electrolytes which naturally exist in human body fluid. These batteries are named Bio-batteries and they may run off of body fluid or some other organic compounds. The team of scientists claims that not only blood but the battery may run on urine or tears.</p>
<p>The batteries are not only thin like paper but essentially is paper. Near about 90% of the battery is made of cellulose, which makes the paper &amp; paper products. A paper authors unveiled that the battery looks weighs and feels very much like paper. Other than paper the carbon nanotubes are kept up to 10% in these batteries. The nanotubes are impressed in every fabric of the paper.</p>
<p>Nanotechnology is using in these batteries, so may called them miniature. They have flexibility so they may use in medical purposes. When the battery is kept away from our body, the battery may be soaked in liquid salt.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>How It Works:</strong></p>
<p>The battery is just like paper, so it has a fine flexibility. The producers are thinking that in future the battery may be made in long printed sheets, which may be cut according to required size. They have also a plan to cut the Nanocomposite paper may be shaped in different patterns and holes may be made in it. More than one sheet could be compiled together to improve the power. In future these batteries may be used for medical purposes such like pacemakers and artificial hearts. This battery would be fit under the skin easily without giving any trouble.</p>
<p>The ionic liquid used in batteries doesn’t evaporate or freeze like ordinary water, the battery may be used at different temperatures, from 100 degrees up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Due to its lighter quality, durability and having temperature resistance it may attract the manufacturers of airplanes &amp; automobiles. Hence we will see these batteries all around us. The designer &amp; inventors also claims that their invention is unique because it can work as high energy battery as well as high-power super capacitor.</p>
<p>The battery is not using a high number of chemicals and high cellulose content, so it is not harmful to the environment. The battery may be marketed soon and come in the shape of sheets. The research team is trying to enhance the methods of production and efficiency of the battery.</p>

<p>If the direction and the distance are acquired, the counter attack may be very easy. Now a device has been invented by U.S. The soldiers who are fighting in Afghanistan are using this device nowadays. The device contains a weight of two pounds only, so it may be kept on the shoulder easily.</p>
<p>This device is consists of a sensor and a screen. When anyone fired nearby, the device detects within no time that from which direction the bullet has come and the distance from which the shot has been fire.</p>
<p><strong>Cotton Candy:</strong></p>
<p>As you know about the complicated disease of diabetic, the wound did not recovered immediately; it takes a lot of time. If the wound did not heal, doctor takes a decision to cut the effected organ of the body. The normal wound healing process depends on the formation of a fiber structure, which produces a resistance for the blood platelets (one of the very small flat round cells in your blood that help it become solid when you bleed, so that you stop bleeding) and gives a strong support on which the covering of the wound is based.</p>
<p>The scientists of U.S have produced a new kind of glass fibrous material that is just like cotton candy, to which children eat favorably. It makes a resistance against the blood clots, thus provides the healing. This material is prepared from the cheap glass, so it comes economical. It is surprisingly absorbed in the human body, so the need of any bandage is not necessary. In the big clinics, the experiments on this product are going on and it will be marketed soon.</p>
<p><strong>Seawater As Battery Charger:</strong></p>
<p>When you will come to know about this fact you will be stunned that scientists of Stanford has created such batteries which can be energized by seawater. These batteries consist of newly designed electrodes made of nanoscale made of silver and manganese dioxide. Their combination gives incredible outcome, that hundred time increase in surface area. The charging takes place that these electrodes are kept in fresh and salt water to generate electrical power.</p>
<p>The method is adopted in this way that, charge the battery in fresh water then replace it and dip it in salt water. Hundred time increase in ions takes place and the battery discharge at a greater voltage and produce electricity. The cycle which is made is then repeated.</p>
<p>It is suggested that by the installation of such a power plant at a location where a river throws its water into the sea, it can produce 100 megawatts of electricity, if 50 cubic meters/ second of fresh is passing. This energy supposed to be sufficient for 100000 houses.</p>
<p>A power plant for this purpose will be designed in a Norwegian country on osmosis basis. The principal of osmosis is based on this theory that a special membrane has salt water on one side and fresh water on the other side. Then the membrane acts as a one way valve. The water passes through membrane from fresh water side to salt water side.</p>
<p>With this practice the increase in the pressure of section of salt solution, which can be used to motivate a turbine to produce electrical energy. The usage of sea salt water for generating electrical power is highly recommended for the near future.</p>

<p>A new kind of material has been developed which is named “Metamaterials”. This material can bend light around them, which cause object made of this material to become disappeared from other eyes.</p>
<p>It is a big advantage that if a tank or any armored vehicle may camouflage itself from the surrounding. The invisibility gives protection against the enemy. The amazing tank will mix itself with the surrounding.</p>
<p>The researchers are using a high technology which covers the tank with hexagonal sheet of material. These hexagons function as pixels which change the temperature and also displays infrared images which produced by a camera which is installed outside. The camera records the landscape of the surrounding, and displays it on the hexagonal sheets of strong material to protect against invaders. In this way the tank seems to be a tree or a plant!</p>
<p>Interesting thing is this that computer is also installed on the outer surface of the tank and it has a large number of images and the required time it projects the relevant images on the sheets, like rocks, herd of animals and etc. The researchers are trying to use this technology on aircrafts, helicopters and ships.</p>

Now in the real world, a Dutch company is designing a floating city, consist of a large number of houses. <li>To obtain more juice from an orange or lemon, heat on high for 30 seconds before squeezing.</li>
<li>Refresh bread rolls, sliced bread or croissants by wrapping them in paper towel or greaseproof paper and heating on High for 10 seconds. Care must be taken not allow these foods to overheat or they become too dry.</li>
<li>Soften butter, margarine &amp; cream cheese for spreading or use in cooking. Heat for a few seconds and check for softness – more time can be given if necessary.</li>
<li>Reheat cold tea or coffee without it developing a “stewed” flavor. Allow 11/2- 2 minutes per cup or mug.</li>
<li>Make honey, liquid glucose syrup easier to measure and handle by softening for a few seconds in the microwave oven.</li>
<li>Melt chocolate for use in cakes, icings and deserts; take care not to overheat. For example, 100g chopped chocolate should be heated on high for about one minute.</li>
<li>To dissolve gelatin, sprinkle on top of liquid stated in recipe. Heat uncovered on high till dissolved, giving the mixture an occasional stir.</li>
<li>For a quick snack, heat soup inn a heatproof mug or bowl.</li>
<li>If members of the family eat meals at odd hours, cook, serve on to plate, cover and refrigerate meals at the time of the day when you are least rushed. Reheat in microwave oven as required; freshly cooked flavor is retained.</li>
<li>Open mussels the easy way: place on a plate and heat on high for a few seconds. As each shell opens, remove from oven.</li>
<li>Heat dinner plates (without gold or silver trim) by interleaving with a dampened tea towel or paper towel; four plates are heated in four minutes using this method.</li>
<li>Instant hot dogs: cut bread roll, spread with butter and place Frankfurt in center. Wrap in greaseproof paper, heat on high for 1to 2 minutes. Spread with tomato sauce or mustard if liked and serve immediately.</li>
<li>Using only firm fruit. You can remove skin from tomatoes, peaches or plums in a micro wave oven. Slit skin in a few places to prevent fruit bursting and heat on high for 30-60 seconds.</li>
<li>Brown almonds ¼ cup at a time by placing on a plate and heating on high for 2 ½ minutes, then turning and heating on high for a further 2 ½ minutes. Almonds will be crisp and well toasted.</li>
<li>To plump the fruit, measure 3 cups raisins currants or sultanas, sprinkle with 1 1/3 cup brandy or sherry and cover with plastic wrap. Heat on high for 1 ½ minutes, stir, heat a further 1 ½ minutes. Use in cakes, pies or serve warm with ice cream.</li>
<li>Heat baby food for approximately 35 seconds in glass containers. Before feeding test for temperature. Extra time can always be given.</li>
<li>When reheating an individual meat or apple pie, wrap in greaseproof paper or paper towel, microwave on high for one minute. Do not overheat as pastry will become soft.</li>
<li>When cooking or reheating food, cover whenever practicable. This will contribute to easier cleaning of your microwave oven.</li>

This robot is introduced by English teachers in Philippines under the name &#8216;Engkey&#8217;. This robot-teacher is only 3.3 ft in height and has a TV panel which exhibits the face of a female Caucasian, when giving lecture to the students. It may be easily wheel around the classroom. For producing a charm and interest the robot-teacher may read books and dance on any tune. It has such nice mechanism that may move his hands and arms perfectly. But don’t think these robot- teachers are working independently; they are operated by English teachers sitting in Philippines. Through a remote control system these teachers can see and hear the children and advice them from the robot-teacher. Cameras fitted in Philippines may reflect the face of the teacher through the face of robot.</p>
<p>This robot-teacher will not teach as a real teacher in class, but deliver his lecture after regular classes in 21 schools, in the city of Daegu which is situated in south-eastern side. They are well educated and are cheaper than the human teachers all over the South Korea. This robot-teacher not only gives lectures and read books but may sing song with the help of pre-programmed software. For making fun and frolic they may play alphabet games with the children of class.</p>
<p>Kim Mi-Young, the educational official comments: “This robot is an interesting moving objects for the students, they smile when they see their robot-teacher. We can say that the students love their teacher. Adults are also taking interest in it because to talk with a robot is very easy rather than to talk with a real person.”</p>
<p>Ms Mi-Young and English teacher says: “The scientists are still testing and modifying this robot-teacher. We hope that the robot-teachers will be upgraded and easy to handle. When the robots move in the classroom, the students become active and take interest in their lessons. Especially the students who are more shy than the other classmates, and have a hesitation to talk with human teachers, talk with this robot-teacher without hesitation.</p>
<p>She emphasizes the robot-teacher whose price will be £5,600 each, and will be able to give a full support to the teachers and will make their appearance valuable, but may not take the place of the real teacher.” It is said that the government is sponsoring a four-month pilot program and will invest £900,000.</p>
<p>A senior teacher Mr. Seong-Dae said in this regard: “Being a robot and made of alloy they would not take sick leaves and shall not complain about their ill health. They don’t ask for severance package, even they will be free from all the worries and will not ask to go for a better opportunity to go to Japan. All they need is to repair them, provide them maintenance and upgrade them from time to time.”</p>

<p>A boy named Dave Vogt, when born has not his left hand by nature. A scientist Stark created an electronic hand for him and the hand has three knuckles (Which have a joint of a finger when the fist is closed). These knuckles can be bent according to the wish of the Vogt and he may catch the things easily. Interesting thing is that the Vogt may open all of his fingers freely by the moment of his shoulder that triggers a lever to extract. This artificial hand is really magical, because the Vogt may grip an egg with politeness and as well as drag a heavy chair.</p>
<p>When Vogt used this hand a ball is thrown towards him, he caught the ball with his artificial hand and certified that he is no more disabled and may do his work like a normal person.</p>

The high penetrating rays cause headaches and give him trouble to see properly. Thus he decided to make a sunglass that may block the sunrays and protect his eyes. In 2002 he got a chance to work over his idea.</p>
<p>As lens material, he used a liquid crystal. The liquid crystal doesn’t give any obstruction to see through as a sunglass lens. Then he added a sensor on the bridge of the nose which finds limelight and gives a signal to a microcontroller attached nearby. The microcontroller reacts and gives instruction to the liquid-crystal lens to produce a 6 mm black square in front of the eyes to block the limelight. Surprisingly the square moves with the glass wearer to block the source of limelight at all the angles, but still gives a gap on the surroundings to let see properly.</p>
<p>Mullin is now developing an elastically plastic-based LCD, so that the product may be lighter and damage proof to sale in market on commercial scale.</p>
<p>The U.S Air Force has appreciated Mullin work and has funded in his project. Now he is working on developing a sunglass for soldiers &amp; fighter pilots. Mullin claims that troops may go in high-noon sun onto the other place without any harm in illumination. The sight of the sunglass wearer will not be damaged. They may be able to see at the very moment after walking into sun. The scientist doctor making a plan to sell the idea to any of the big manufacturer of sunglass, so that they produce this Dynamic Eye shades commercially.</p>
